How to Draw The Lone Ranger, The Lone Ranger

1

We will begin by drawing the mannequin for the ranger and for Silver the horse. Make the head shapes for the horse and ranger, then draw in the horse's neck and body guides like so.

2

Begin sketching out Silver's head followed by the ears and some of the mane that is in the center top part of the head between the ears. Shape out and define the horse's face from the side view.

3

Continue to sketch out the face by including the eye, nostril and then the bridal. Notice the small circle in the horse's mouth, this is the bit. Sketch out the beautiful mane, then add detailing throughout the hair.

4

Next, sketch out the horses neck, chest, and front legs as well as the hooves. The horse is in a rearing pose which means you will be drawing Silver as he is about to gallop and run. Sketch in the body detailing on the front part of the horse's body,

5

We are almost done drawing Silver so what we need to do next is draw the belly, then his gentiles. Next, draw the hind legs like so, as well as some detailing to the body.

6

Now is the time that we draw The Lone Ranger. Start with the hat, then sketch out the simple profile of his face. You will then draw the torso as well as the jacket and stretched out arm. Don't forget to add the layers of creases and folds on the jac

7

Draw in the other arm which is grasping the reigns but you can't see that, as well as the hand, more of the scarf, then the domino mask, mouth, and nose. Add more definition to his clothing as well as color in the ties from the mask.

8

You will now draw the rest of the ranger's body. This is just the leg, butt, and boot. Add the tail to the jacket, then add more detailing to his clothes.

9

All you have to do here is draw the saddle, then add detailing to the saddle.

10

Finish drawing the horse's body by sketching out the rest of the back legs. Once that is done draw in the tail, as well as all the layers of detail on the tail. Erase the mistakes you made throughout the lesson.

Here is the Lone Ranger and his trusted white stallion Silver. Color the two in and show folks what you have done.

Description: Hey guys, its me again with another fun lesson. This time we will be learning "how to draw The Lone Ranger", step by step in a very cartoony manner. Some of you may of heard of the Lone Ranger, but then again some of you may have not since it's an old television series that used to air from 1949 to 1957. It was based on an ex-Texas Ranger that survives an ambush by one of the lead villains named Bartholomew Cavendish or “Butch”. During the ambush there was an Indian named Tonto that watched the whole thing and noticed that one of the rangers didn't die. His name is Ranger Reid. It is then that Tonto buries the other rangers and tends to Ranger Reid as he nurses him back to health. There is actually a 2013 version of The Lone Ranger that is set to be released in July and Johnny Depp is playing the role of Tonto the Indian. The Lone Ranger wears a black Domino mask which Tonto made and since he was the only survivor, he got his name Lone Ranger. In the series Tonto always called or referred to the ranger as Ke-mo-sah-bee which was at the time a very popular catchphrase. The Lone Ranger also had a all white stallion horse named Silver, and when ever he was ready to ride he would yell “Hi-yo Silver Away!”. This lesson on drawing The Lone Ranger should be easy enough for everyone to tackle. Even if you struggle at bit, it's still great fun drawing a television series legend. Enjoy people and good luck.
