How to Draw Doves

1

First of all draw the guide lines. Start with a small circle for the head, then draw bill, neck and the body with the folded wing. At last add the feet and the tail.

2

Now that the guide lines are done, we can start the lineart of the drawing. Draw the outline of head and neck.

3

Add a small circle for the eye and draw the base of the bill.

4

Around the eyes of the dove there is an area without feathers, draw it. Then finish the short bill and add the nostil.

5

Follow the guide lines you've drawn previously to draw the large and compact body.

6

Draw the folded wing.

7

Finish the body, draw the part of the legs covered by feathers and add the tail.

8

Now draw the feet (three toes on the front and one behind) and you're almost done.

9

Add details on plumage and on feet.

10

Add details into the eye and your dove is finished!

11

Now we'll draw a flying dove. As always, start with the guide lines.

12

Draw the outline of head and neck.

13

Draw the circular eye and the area without feathers around it, then draw the bill and its base. Do not forget the nostril.

14

Draw the outline of the body.

15

Now add the large open wings.

16

While the dove is flying the legs are folded and close to the body, draw them and add the feet.

17

Draw the large tail.

18

Add some details to the plumage.

19

Finish your drawing by adding the last details.
