Description: What animal represents America on almost everything you see? I will give yo a hint, it is a bird with a bold and powerful stature, it gracefully soars through the skies with confidence and poise, and has unbelievable courage and grace? If you guessed the bald eagle, you guessed right. I was going through the tattoo category once again and noticed that there was nothing there with an American flag intertwined with an eagle. So because of that I wanted to do a lesson on “how to draw an American eagle step by step”. Now the eagle that represents the United States is in fact a bald eagle. Now the eagle is part of “America's Great Seal” and it was sketched by Charles Thompson back in 1782. In the picture of the seal, the eagle is upright and spread. That means he sketched out a bald eagle from the front with it's wings and legs spread apart. There is several objects that the American eagle is holding and I will list them all to you now. If you look at the drawing of America's Great Seal (which can be done by typing the phrase into Google and then clicking on “images”), you will see the following; in the right talon, Charles Thompson drew an olive branch and the eagles head faces the left which represents “the power of peace”. In the right talon the eagle is holding the “power of war” which is symbolized by a bundle of thirteen arrows. Placed in the eagles beak he is holding a scroll that says “E Pluribus Unum”. And for the final Great Seal the stripes on the eagles shield is that of the “American flag”. Over time the eagles design became more detailed by simply modifying the stance and seals that it holds. The Great Seal virtually is suppose to represent “Liberty and Freedom”. Nowadays the American eagle is used for tattoo art, bumper stickers, patches, decal and other great stuff. This tutorial will teach you “how to draw an American eagle step by step”. The eagle head and the way it meshes into the American flag really came out cool. I know you guys will simply love this design. I have to go for now but I shall return. Until then, keep on drawing and making new great art.
