Make two circles. One for the head and another for the body. You will then sketch in the facial guidelines.

2

We will now define the head and face shape like so. Be sure to draw in the feathery tufts at each side of the head like you see here. This is supposed to be a great horned owl.

3

Okay guys, draw the wide heart shaped face lining like you see here. When that is done you will need to add the stitched lines all the way around. Draw and color in two big round eyes and then draw the small diamond shaped nose along with the indenti

4

You will need to draw out the body next. This should include the wings, belly and feet. Add two layers of feathers and then add detailing to the feet. Once that is done you can draw the stitch across the belly.

5

For the last step you will draw the owl's tail and be sure to curl up the feathers so they look natural like they would on a stuffed animal.

6

That's all there is to it. You can color in the drawing any shade you like, but remember this is a horned owl so the colors should convey that.

Description: Here is another stuffed animal lesson but instead of doing another animal that walks on legs and lives on land, I thought I would make an animal who has wings. Having said that, here is how to draw a stuffed owl, step by step. Owls are one of my favorite animals and at first I didn't know how I was going to approach this digital art. After some trial and error I figured out what I was going to do and the results are what you are looking at now. In the end I think this stitched owl came out looks wicked cute. It won't be hard to replicate at all. Just follow the steps using the big images provided and you should be well on your way to drawing an owl in a stuffed concept. Have fun and let me know what you think.
