I had so much fun drawing with you all yesterday, and what I drew was even more epic. I'm trying to get my “Skull” section filled up with at least fifty different tutorials so that members and visitors have an even wider selection when it comes to drawing skulls. Yesterday I sketched out a concept design of three different types of skull heads that came out phenomenal. I've decided to name this lesson “how to draw gangsta", step by step. The word “gangsta” is just a term used to describe a group of people that are what you call part of crew, posse, or even gang. In the drawing I wanted to represent three different types of ethnic races because there isn't one nationality that doesn't have some sort of connection with belonging to such a group. I will start from left to right, Caucasian, Latino, and African American. If I wanted I could've also include the Asian race too, but then the lesson would be too long. All three skulls came out looking almost perfect, and all three skulls are gangsta. I hope no-one takes offence to this art because it's not supposed to do so. This is really more like graffiti art that you would see spray painted on the sides of buildings, under subways, and even on brides off the highway. I feel that this is a unique drawing, and I had a lot of fun with it. I know you guys will like drawing gangsta because to be honest whether you like it or not, this type of art is in, and innocent art is out. The best artist is one that is real with himself, and with others. An artist never hides the truth even if it's a hard concept to grasp. Have fun with this lesson guys, and remember to keep practicing because when you want to draw a skull, you will be better then ever just by using these awesome tutorials. Peace people, and keep it real!

How to Draw Gangsta

how to draw gangsta step 1

STEP 1.

Sine you will be drawing three different skull heads, you will be doing triple the work. Start by drawing three circle shapes as you see here and then sketch out the shape of the jaw structure for each one. Add the facial guidelines and move to the next step.

STEP 2.

You will now start sketching out the upper parts of their face structure which includes, the prominent cheek bones, and for the skull to the left, the upper jaw and nose area. Add some minor detailing on the bones, and then move to the next step.

STEP 3.

For the two skulls at the ends, you can begin sketching out their top row of teeth on their skeletal gum line. Next sketch out all of the eye sockets and then color them all in. Draw the bold brow bone structure to make these skulls look ruthless and mean, and then draw the lining for the bandanna's.

STEP 4.

The two skulls at the end have visible lower jaws but the one in the middle is covered with a handkerchief. Add some defining detail around the eyes for the skull head in the middle and then draw the jaws for the two skulls on the ends like you see here. Sketch out all of the teeth, and then draw a tied handkerchief on the skull figure to the right as well as color in the hollow nose hole.

STEP 5.

Finish sketching out the craniums, and then add some crack lines scattered on the heads. Next, draw the rest of the bandanna's and then add some crease detailing to the handkerchief that is covering the face of the gangsta skull in the middle. The skull to the far right should have an afro sketched in like you see here. Erase all the guidelines and shapes so that your drawing is nice and clean looking.
