Okay this tutorial is really easy. You will start this step by drawing out the guidelines and shapes to form a frame for the rat. Start by drawing a, oval circle for the head and a box shape for what's gonna be the snout. Next draw a large tear drop

In this b=next step you will start to sketch out the face of the rat as well as start shaping out the chest and front legs. But lets work with the face first. Using the boxed shape that you drew in step one, start sketching out his face and the shape

In this step you will finish drawing out the eye and color the whole thing in except a small dot. Next sketch out the shape of the rats thin ear and then detail the front legs by adding the fur and claw nails. The last thing you want to do on this st

This is the last step and with the last step comes last minute detailing. First you are going to need to start erasing all the guidelines and shapes that you drew back in step one to clean up your sketch. Next give the rat some whiskers and then deta

Next, draw the shape of the body as well as the shape of the foot. You don't need to stress yourself over this part, it's fairly simple.

Lastly, sketch the last foot, as well as the tail. Use thin line weights for the detailing of the tail.

That is it you are now done. ll that is left to do now is color him in. You can color him to look like a street rat or a household rat, your choice. After you are done coloring him/her in you just completed this tutorial on how to draw a rat step by

Description: Rats, to me the rat is a disgusting mongrel that lives in the alley ways and dumpsters of cities and neighborhoods. The common rat we all know, love, and hate are either the brown rat or the black rat. These rodents originally originated in Asia believe it or not. The word rat has many meanings and terms. For instance when you hear somebody say “don’t be a rat” they usually mean keep your mouth shut and don’t snitch. Or how about when someone says “rats”, this is typically another way to say “darn”. There is nothing nice to say about these creatures because I personally think that they have no purpose in this world but like all living things they do. If you wipe out the rat you will wipe out another species that feeds off of the rat and vice versa. Although the rat may serve a purpose in this world, when you see rats in the wild or on the streets they are more than likely infected with rabies or some other nasty disease. Many folks have rats as indoor pets that they keep in metal or plastic cages. These rats are breed from the brown rat family and they are usually white with brown or black spots. Sometimes they are all white with red eyes or a domesticated brown. Either way I still think that the rat is a gross animal. Back in the 1300’s a known disease called the black plague spread across world wide. This plague was traditionally believed to have been caused by the micro-organism Yersinia pestis, carried by the Tropical Rat Flea which preyed on R. rattus living in European cities. Today rats are being tolerated and even made stars of, like that movie Ratatouille a rat named Remy was interested and quite talented in culinary arts. He winds up living his dream by working with a young man named Linguini. Linguini is hired to be head chef of the all popular Paris restaurant. What the other coworkers and manager don’t know is that he is being pupeteered by Remy the rat under his hat. The only thing I like about rats is the movie Ratatouille, other than that, thanks but no thanks. This tutorial will show you "how to draw a rat", step by step. The instructions are easy to follow and simple to understand. I will be back yet again with another online drawing tutorial for you all to learn from, until then peace out.
