1

Draw a round disc shape for the outline of your poppy flower. Next add the inner guidelines and shapes as you see here. Lastly, draw a stem line.

2

You will now start sketching out the middle flower like design which is the stamens of the plant. Lastly, start sketching out the beginning shapes of the poppy pedals as you see here.

3

Continue to sketch out all the flower pedals until your poppy looks like a whole flower. Be sure to add a few notches along the pedals edges, and then add some detailing too.

4

For the last drawing step all you need to do is draw out the stem, and then add the leaves. Sketch in defining dimples on the pedals and then you can begin erasing the guidelines and shapes that you drew in step one.

5

I do hope you had fun drawing a poppy step by step. This flower is sure to be a big hit if you choose to use it as a gift for someone special on Valentines Day. Great job!
