How to Draw Big Daddy, Big Daddy, Bioshock

1

Draw a circle for the head and then add the guidelines for the arms.

The second thing you will work on is getting the face plate of the mask drawn out. This is shaped like an eyeball as you can see, but there is also support tubing going across and vertically on the mask. When the design concept is finished, you can d

Continue to work on getting the mask drawn out. This time you will tackle the back of the helmet and then draw in some more tubing like so. There is also a base piece that you need to draw in that covers or acts as the shoulders of the suit. Draw or

Now you are ready to start drawing out the body. Begin with the shoulder, and then sketch out the whole right arm as well as the clutched hand or fist. You have to be sure to draw in the ring like wrinkles on the sleeve of the suit.

Up next, draw the left arm as well as the drill like spike that these figures have attached or constructed into their arms. The spiral pattern that flows down the drill also has to be drawn in. Once that is done, sketch in the base of the drill and t

The next step you will need to take is getting the body drawn out. You can do this by sketching out the torso part of the suit like so, and then draw the leg arches. Sketch in the design on the brass or metal suit and then move to step seven.

You are getting closer and closer to the end of this lesson. Here you will start sketching out the left leg and the same tactic follows with the pant legs like you sketched in the sleeve wrinkles. This suit has knee pads as you can see, so you will a

For the last step draw in the other leg like so, and then begin sketching in the last minute detailing on the suit that you may have missed. Clean up the drawing and you are all done.

Description: So, I have been getting flooded with requests to do a lesson on another very popular figure from BioShock and this time it’s a hunk of metal. Today I will finally fill the request to make a tutorial on "how to draw Big Daddy", step by step. Here is a few things about this character I didn’t know about but I’m sure most of you BioShock fans do. First off, Big Daddy is a name for a series of humans that have been genetically altered to become these massive machines that are armored with heavy duty suits, and a drill like drive spike that is fused with the arm. The design concept for Big Daddies came from the idea of the old diving suits that used to be worn by divers. They are purposely constructed to look like hunks of brass that could totally pass for beings that live under the sea. These guys or figures from BioShock have been with the game series since their first debut. Marketers pumped up Big Daddy so much, when the game was first released, consumers where given a free six inch action figure of Big Daddy was included with the limited edition version of BioShock. Anyways, if you are amongst the many that are fans of this game series you should enjoy learning "how to draw Big Daddy" too. I will be back in a bit with more drawing fun. Adios peeps, and enjoy!
