How to Draw Wile E Coyote

Step 1.

Let's start this first step by drawing out the guidelines and shapes to make a frame for Wile E. First draw a small circle for his head and then add the facial guidelines. You will then make two more circle shapes for the torso and the bottom part of his body. Make the guidelines for his limbs and stomach as you see here.

Step 2.

Now here you will start to add the beginning sketch lines for his face and body. Start with two lines for his ears and then sketch out the shape of his long snout. You will then add two dashes for his eyebrows and then move onto drawing out the beginning lines for his arms, hands, and legs.

Step 3.

As you see here the Coyote is starting to look like his old self. You will start this step by drawing out the shape of his big thick ears and make sure you add some fluff to the edges. Next begin shaping out his face and eye lines. Next finish the shaping for his arms and hands and then add some fur detail to his chest. Start working on his tail and thicken his legs as well with a simple line going down the middle. Make sure you define the shape of his bony knees.

Step 4.

Start detailing his ears with definition lines and then detail the bridge of his nose. You will also add an olive shape for his nose and then the other side of his cheek. Finish off the shape of the tail (don't forget to fluff) and then the lining for his stomach. Add the bottoms of his feet as well as his toe lines and then the left arm and right hand.

Step 5.

This is your last drawing step so what ever you need to fix do it here in step five. You will add the sketching line for his puffy cheeks and then add his eyeballs. You will also add a finger or two and then finish off the lining coming from his neck. You will now erase all the guidelines and shapes that you drew in step one.

Step 6.

Here you have it your very own Looney Tune character. All you have to do now is color in his nose black and then get your crayons, markers, or colored pencils to add some color to your character. That wasn't to bad right? Now that you have learned how to draw Wile E. Coyote, I can now get out my other odd object tutorial for you all to learn from.

Before I upload this tutorial I must tell you that I did indeed have one more out of the ordinary object for you to learn. But that will wait until I’m done with this next tutorial. Right now let's take a step back and return to the Looney Tunes characters that everyone seems to love. Just like with the Pepe Le Pew character, I thought the Looney Tune character that should be added as a tutorial to join the other goof balls should be on how to draw Wile E. Coyote. And if you’re not familiar with this character (which I doubt), I will tell you a little about him. Wile is an animated cartoon character from the Warner Bros. Looney Tune collection that has been around since 1949. His first on screen appearance was with the animated episode called Fast and Furry-Ous. This animated character rarely talks and he is absolutely determined to catch a blue long necked bird called Road Runner. The opening scene for every episode is of the two characters speeding down the mountain like highways in a desert landscape. The only problem that the Coyote has is catching him. You see, the Road Runner is much too fast for the thin straggly Wile E. so what he does is try to come up with any kind of plan to catch him with homemade concoctions. He will also go all out and spend top dollar on devices from the Acme Company such as rockets, dynamite or TNT, high powered bat suits that fly, and even catapults and large human sized slingshots. No matter what he does it never seems to work. Each episode ends with either the Coyote holding up a sign displaying “The End” while he is beaten and battered, or the Road Runner will hold up a sign that says “Beep Beep” and then turns it over to say “The End”. No matter what, the show is wicked funny and I am glad that my mom let us in on these cartoons when we were kids because I'll tell you something, they are good. This tutorial will show you how to draw Wile E. Coyote step by step with detailed instructions. I will be back with another tutorial in a while until then stick around and have some fun.
