How to Draw a Velociraptor, Velociraptor

1

Okay, lets get started. Draw a small circle for the head, and then draw out another shape of the body. Connect a long neck shape, and then draw out the guides for the arms, legs, and long tail.

2

Begin sketching out the actual structure and shape of the raptor's head, and screaming snout and jaw. Be sure to draw in that area where the mouth tissue stretches apart as the mouth opens wide.

3

Now you will begin carefully drawing out each sharp tooth in the raptor's mouth like so. Notice how the top row slants slightly inward, be sure to draw them out this way as well. Next, draw the bottom row of teeth, and then sketch in the tongue, eyeb

Start sketching out the arched or humped shape for the back of the head like so, and then draw in the back, and front of the neck. Draw in the beginning lining to form an arm, and then keep moving.

Finish sketching out the arms, and then sketch out the hands or talons of this predator. The front talons should look very long and shape like so and be sure to make the lining a bit uneven to convey the texture of the dinosaur's skin. Lastly, draw o

You are almost done with drawing one of the most lethal dinosaurs that ever walked the earth. Start this step by sketching out the two legs like so starting with the thighs, and then draw in the feet. Don't forget to draw in that large retractable cl

Last step guys, just draw out the long thick tail that tappers off the further you go down the tip. Once the tail is drawn in, you can sketch in all of the skin detailing on the body like the neck, shoulder, thighs, legs, and tail. Erase the lines an

This is it guys, you are all done. Now you can go ahead and color in this dinosaur from the past. I had a lot of fun today guys, and hopefully you all did too. Thanks so much and be sure to come back real soon.

Description: Up next is a lesson that will show you the ins and outs to drawing a newer version of a Velociraptor that is not either a chibi, cartoon, or in a for kids style. Instead I will upload a second or newer version of one of the meanest dinosaurs known to mankind. The raptor is not a difficult dinosaur to draw, but if you want a better, more neatly made tutorial, this one is the one for you. I find it easier to make a raptor from a side profile instead of head on. This is because there is less definition involved, and fewer limbs detailing to draw out. Since I already talked about the Velociraptor in my older tutorial, I’m almost at a loss for words when writing out this description. I don’t know what else I can say about this dinosaur that is any different then what I said before. The only thing I can do different, is show you another way to "draw a velociraptor" that will be easier to understand, and quicker to complete. Anyways guys, there is no more submissions coming up, so you might as well tackle this one, and then try out one of the seven that I uploaded earlier. Peace out guys and have fun!
