How to Draw an Octopus for Kids

Begin with a circle for the shape of the octopus' body and then draw in the facial guides.

Thicken the lining that you just drew for the top part of the head, and then draw out the first of seven arms.

All you have to draw here is the oblong shaped eyes, and then draw in the thin lining for the eyeballs like so. Next, make a small grin for this cute octopus.

Finally, draw out the rest of the simple looking arms. You already drew two of them, so all you have to do is draw five more. Erase the guides you drew in step one and you are all done.

This is how your drawing looks when you are all done. Now you can color it in, and be on your way.

Description: Aloha everyone, today is going to be such a fun and exciting tutorial day. Instead of submitting hard or complex lessons, I will be uploading a few ‘For Kids’ tutorials that are super cute and really fun. Then I have some new chibi characters that I think you will all love, but to start things off I will be uploading "how to draw an octopus for kids", step by step. These strange sea animals are not usually considered to be the most attractive thing to look at. In fact, they are probably one of the ugliest creatures that live on the bottom of the ocean. Even though they have hideous features, the octopus that you will be drawing is as cute as a button. I really love the way this this drawing came out because it really captures the essence on how an octopus should look when being drawn for kids. The lesson is going to be easy, and really fun. I think by now you guys already know how awesome it is drawing animals for kids by now. Well that’s it, I mean what else can I really say about drawing an octopus for kids except it’s going to be a blast.
