How to Draw Lion-O, ThunderCats, Lion-O

1

Begin by making three shapes which are all very different in size and shape. The first is a circle for the head, and then you will draw out an odd egg shape for the torso. Next, draw in a drop like shape for the lower half or hips of Lion-O's body. A

2

Now, sketch out the shape of the face structure and then be sure to draw in the hair line. Notice how the hair line has sharp points.

3

Using the facial guidelines you drew in step one, begin drawing out the shapes of the eyes, brows, ad then the definition of the nose bridge.

4

Continue to draw out the brows and add some thickness at the ends. When that is done make two wrinkled creases above the nose to finish off the brows. Next, draw in the eye balls, and then the mouth.

5

Lion-O has a hairstyle very similar to the Dragon Ball Z figures. Draw out his long spiked style the same way you would for any DBZ character. When that is done incorporate the cat like ears and then draw in some sideburns.

6

Now you will get busy as you begin drawing out the body starting withe the shoulders, back, and some of the chest and arms.

7

Continue to draw out the upper body by sketching out the left forearm and some of the bent hand. This arm or hand is going to be holding the sword. When that's all done draw in some of the detailing for the shoulder armor he wears.

8

You are about a little more tahn half way done with this tutorial. What you will start doing here is getting the butt of Lion-O's sword drawn out and as you know this is the hand guard of the weapon. Add the detailing and don't forget to draw in the

9

Completely draw out the blade of the sword and then draw in Lion-O's fingers and thumb. Add the detailing and definition to the design of the sword and be sure to add that slit for the eye.

10

It's time to sketch out the right arm and be sure to make that lining hairy. Draw the right hand, and then move to the next step.

11

Sketch out the back, and then draw in the belt along with his waist and hips. Before you leave this step draw in the buckle in the center which is nothing more than a circle.

12

Sketch in the pattern lines or trim for Lion-O's clothes like so, and then detail the belt and strap that goes across his chest.

13

For the last step all you have to do is draw out the crotch and then sketch in the lining for his thighs. Add some detailing for definition and then when you're done start erasing the sketch lines.

14

Here is what he looks like all drawn and cleaned up. Now you can have a blast coloring ion Lion-O from ThunderCats, Hooooo!

Description: Guys, guess what? Dawn's here, back with the tutorial butcher knife and we are gonna slice up some ham this time! So, if you haven't heard already, the new ThunderCats anime is premiering on Cartoon Network this blossoming Summer. For all those fans of Lion-O, be sure to check out this new cartoon series! Anyways, let's cut to the middle of the beef and learn “how to draw Lion-O" from ThunderCats, step by step. I had fun drawing the new style for this character; originally he had thick thighs, super high tights to the mid crotch of his legs, making him appear stripper-ous, and a very masculine face with KISS styled eye makeup. Honestly, this style repelled me from liking the character. I guess you could call Lion-O the two-legged Aslan of the ThunderCat world. He's supposedly the king of Middle Earth or something like that. I hear too much of Middle Earth through my ears, so I get confused with which is fiction or non-fiction. Well my dear viewers, I'm going leave ya'll so you'll slug onto the tutorial now. Thank you so much for viewing, and don't forget to comment, rate, and show me your version of Lion-O. Have fun, and have fun!
