Start by making an oblong shape for the butterfly's body like so, but remember that it will turn into a nose design later. Next, draw the arched lines for the wings, and then move to step two.

2

Now you will draw in the head, shape out the mid section of the body, and sketch out the lower part of the body to look like the shape of a human nose.

3

Sketch out some pretty nice, thick antenna which will also act as the eyes eyebrows. When this is done, move to step four.

4

You are closer to finishing this lesson. Now it's time to sketch out the first section of wing of a two part wing design. This should be sketched out to look like an eye mask of some sorts, or whatever you want it to be. When you have the design down

5

Sketch out the second part of the two part wing like you see here, and be sure the edging consists of waves and delicate like patterns. Draw in the bottom eye lid, and move to step six.

Okay guys this is your last drawing step. Draw in the eyeballs, and pupils and then sketch in some pretty eyelashes. You will then add the detailing design pattern to the wings and because I wanted to go with the monarch butterfly pattern, I added so

Here is what the finished product looks like. See how beautiful the butterfly tattoo came out? Now you can take this art to your tattoo artist, or color it in for fun.

Description: I hope you are all having some good fun with the new dragon lesson I uploaded. I wanted to keep the cool stuff rolling for tutorials today, so what I have for you next is a tutorial on "how to draw a butterfly tattoo", step by step. I have plenty of butterfly designs that can be converted into some really cool tattoo stencils. I was browsing through my tattoo section and I couldn’t find a tattoo design on a butterfly except for one that was a little outdated. A while back I made a drawing of a butterfly with eyes embedded in the wings and to me it was pretty. I wanted to recreated sort of the same concept, but this time I wanted to make the butterfly eyes from a monarch species design. I also drew in the body to look like a nose for the face which looks pretty cool as well. In general the tutorial is going to be pretty simple and I really wanted to make sure that the lesson was drawn and laid out to be easy enough for anybody to tackle. If you like tattoo art, you will fall in love with this piece on drawing a butterfly tattoo. Butterflies have always been an insect of choice for females when choosing a delicate type of tattoo for their body art. I hope you enjoy this lesson, and if you are looking for a nice tattoo design to take to your tattoo artist, maybe you should think about this design. Have fun guys and enjoy your drawing day!
