How to Draw a Skunk

Step 1.

Start this first step by drawing out the guidelines ans shapes to form a solid frame for your skunk. Start by drawing a circle for the head and then add the facile guidelines. Next draw out the shape of the body which looks like a big jelly bean. From the shapes you drew add the guidelines for the legs, tail, and feet.

Step 2.

Okay, you will first start sketching out the shape of the skunks body using a jagged edge stroke to look like fur. Next draw out the almond shaped eye and then a hint of a nose. You will next sketch out the shape of the tail (make sure it is pretty thick as shown) and then draw out the shapes of the legs. You will then draw the lines for the skunks long toes and nails.

Step 3.

In this next step you will first give him an eye ball and a strip on his snout. Then you will sketch in a nicely shaped ear and then detail the feet in the front. After you are done with that you can draw out the strip from on top of the head, and flowing down the back and tail. The hind leg needs to be drawn in as well before you move onto the next step.

Step 4.

All you have to do here is detail the skunk a bit by adding the claws to his front and back paws. Finish off the strip on the tail and then you can start erasing the guidelines and shapes that you drew in step one. When you have cleaned up your drawing you can move down to the last and final step.

Step 5.

And wha la! This is what your skunk should look like when you are dine with your drawing. All you have to do is get a black crayon, colored pencil, marker or paint and give him some trademark colors. You have just completed this tutorial on how to draw a skunk step by step. I hope you had a butt load of fun, I will be back in a bit with more drawing fun.

Hello everyone welcome once again to another tutorial on I hope you are all loving the new layout of the site. Although it looks different it is still undergoing some more changes. Anyway, today’s tutorial is going to be on an animal that is familiar to all of us. You will be learning "how to draw a skunk". Skunks are very intimidating creatures that roam the night air. These animals are considered to be nocturnal and they are also considered to be infected with rabies if you see them during daylight hours. The reason why skunks are so intimidating is because they possess that certain something that makes you go “Ewe”. You got, it’s their incredible horrible-smelling spray that they unleash when they get in their defensive mode. I personally never had to experience being sprayed down with their intoxicating stench, but as we all know if you are one of the unfortunate and you have been hosed down before by a skunk, you know they have a “hard-to-remove” stench when it saturates your clothing and skin. The spray that omits from a skunk is produced by glands under its large tail. It is an oily liquid which is why it is so incredibly hard to remove. The mist that comes out from down under can travel as far as ten feet, now that is a scary thought. I mean just when you think that if you keep your distance your fine, but nope he can get you while you stand. There are many different types of skunk, they can be found from Indonesia and the Philippines, all the way to America, Canada and to central South America. The average skunk reside in borrows that are built by other animals; they also take refuge in hollow logs, ditches, abandoned buildings, and even in the woods. They have a diet that includes a little bit of everything such as berries, plants, worms, insects, fruit, reptiles, small mammals, and fish. Skunks are also allowed to be kept as pets in some parts of America and in America they allow their stink glands to be removed. But in the UK the laws are different, you can own a skunk as a pet but it is illegal to de-gland them. So then...what’s the point? I would never want to own a skunk I think they are just too “YUK” for me. This is a cool tutorial because even though I find the skunk repulsive, I show you how to draw a skunk and he looks cute. I will be back with another drawing tutorial for you all in a bit. In the mean time work on this one and see what is coming next.
