How to Draw a Ninja Turtle

1

Drawing a ninja turtle is usually hard to do. But hopefully this lesson is going to be a lot easier to follow so you can draw your TMNT with ease. Start with two circles, one for the head, and the other for the body. Next, draw in the guidelines for

2

Here you will start sketching out Raphael's head and face shape like so. Remember they are still turtles so their faces should be shaped like ones. Once that is done, draw out the downward slanted brows like so.

3

Now you can draw out the eye shapes, and then draw out the lining that forms not only the mouth, but the rounded nose as well.

4

Draw in Raphael's eye mask, and then draw out the muscular shoulders, and arms like so. This should be done as neat as possible.

5

Now finish drawing out the arms and make sure they remain muscular like you see here. Next, draw out the elbow pads, and then draw in the three fingered hands or fingers. Next, add some detailing to the arms, and hands like so.

6

You are now ready to draw out Raphael's twin sai which is is weapons of choice. When that is done, sketch out the chest and abdomen like so, and make sure they are also muscular.

7

You pretty much have the upper body drawn out, now it's time to sketch out the ninja turtles shell. Once the round shell is drawn, you have to draw a wrap around it which is a sash of some sorts. This should be tied in the front and be sure to add so

8

It's now time to draw out the thighs like so, and then draw in his knee pads too. Hey, a ninja also has to remember to keep safety first.

9

You are already almost done. Now all you have to do to finish off his body is draw out the rest of the legs. When that is done, draw in the feet which have two toes, and then add some muscle definition to his calves. Don't forget to add some detailin

10

Lastly, erase the lines and shapes that you drew in step one, and then clean up your drawing from mistake lines. Once that is done you can draw out the mask ties which are waving in the back of his head.

Here is what he looks like when you are all done. Now go ahead and color him in to finish off this lesson on how to draw a ninja turtle.

Description: I have done a few characters from the very popular series TMNT. Today I will show you "how to draw a ninja turtle", step by step. There really isn’t much to say about the Ninja Turtles because I wrote about them more than a few times. I already told you about all of the turtles and how they became what they've become. I made this tutorial because someone asked me if I could do a simple lesson that teach an artist "how to draw a ninja turtle" in a better way than the ones I submitted in the past. I not only have tutorials on all four Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, I also have a lesson on Master Splinter himself. I was such a fan of the movies when I was like eleven years old and even to this day I can still sit back and watch all but one of the movie series. I wasn’t too fond of the last movie because it became too, fake for my taste. Yes I know what you’re saying, “the turtles are fake anyway”, and you’re right, they are. But when you make a movie based on some fantasy type characters, you should try and at least make the storyline sort of believable. Anyways this is going to be a fun tutorial because not only will you learn to draw a ninja turtle, you will also learn how to draw Raphael as well. I guess that pretty much does it for me for today. I will be back tomorrow with more drawing fun so stay tuned in. Peace out people and enjoy your drawing day!
