How to Draw Sterling Archer, Archer

1

Draw a circle for Archer's head and then draw in the guidelines for the face, shoulders, arms and torso like you see here.

2

Now begin sketching out Archer's chiseled face structure like you see here and be sure to include the outline for his ear. Next, draw out the hair line, and the lid lines for his eyes.

3

Okay, here you will continue to draw out his eyes like so, and then draw in and color the eyebrows. Sketch out the nose, and then draw in the mouth. Add some definition to the side of his face which is his cheek, and then sketch in detailing inside o

4

All you have to do here is draw out his slick backed hairstyle like so, and then move onto step five.

5

Its now time to start drawing out his body starting with the shoulders and jacket sleeves. Be sure to draw in the nicely folded collar flaps and then some of his hands.

6

Continue to sketch out the left shoulder and arm like so, and then draw in his hands and his incredibly small gun. As you can see the gun should have been larger than what it is now.

7

Sketch out the other side of his suit jacket, and then draw in his tucked in button up shirt like so, and then his tie. Draw in some pocket to the jacket, and then more small detailing.

8

All you have to do here is draw in his belt, pant loops that holds the belt in place, and then draw out his pants as well as the pleats in his pants. Erase the lines and shapes that you drew in step one.

9

Now that you are all done, this is how your macho man should look. Now you can color him in to complete the sketch. I hope you liked this lesson on how to draw Sterling Archer.

Description: Has anyone ever heard of a animated series called “Archer” that airs on Fox around ten pm? Well, I haven’t watched any episodes of the series either, but I received a few requests for me to make a tutorial on "how to draw Sterling Archer", step by step. He is the main figure of the series and he sort of reminds me of the cop from the movie “Jackie Brown”. Sterling is a character with a chiseled face, baby blue eyes, and he is also very charming and suave. His code name is Duchess, and for a secret agent who is known to be the best there is, he certainly looks like he can play the part. I guess the series was made for the main character to be a bit like 007’s leading man, James Bond. For all I know he is just like him but I guess I’ll never know unless I watch an episode. His boss is Malory and she is also his mother. Sterling also has an attractive partner named Lana, and some may even say they have a thing going. I guess it has a lot to do with the fact that they used to be a couple. Anyways there is a few messed up areas that I goofed on when I drew out Archer. For example the gun is a bit off, and the open eye seems to be a bit small. I would go as far to say that this is one of my better works of art because it isn’t. Nonetheless, I think you will enjoy learning "how to draw Archer", step by step. I hope you have fun, and enjoy the rest of your day.
