How to Draw a Butterfly For Kids

Step 1.

Begin by drawing a small circle for the head, and then draw a line straight down the middle.

Step 2.

Thicken the lining for the head, and then color in some tiny dots for the eyes. Next, draw out the shape for the narrow, long shape of the butterfly's body like so.

Step 3.

Now you can draw out the wings with the top wings being larger than the lower parts of the wing.

Step 4.

Now you can finish off your pretty butterfly but first you have to erase the lines and one shape if it's still visible. Draw in the pretty circles to add a unique design pattern, and then give the butterfly some antenna.

Step 5.

Here is what your wonderful butterfly looks like when you are all done. Now you can have even more fun coloring it in. Thank you for joining me with this lesson on how to draw a butterfly for kids.
