How to Draw the Flintstones

1

You will start by drawing out the shapes to form the framing for your two characters. Begin by making circle shapes for their faces, and then draw squared off cone heads. Fred has some guidelines for the face added because he has a bigger head then B

Now you can begin drawing out the shape of the top portions of the head which are square, and then draw out their noses too. Next, draw the lining to form the framing for the lower portions of their face like so. Notice Barney has small pointed ears.

3

You are almost done with the heads of Fred and Barney. All you have to do now is draw in their hairstyles which is very simple, and then draw out their eyes, eyebrows, mouths, and Fred's ear.

4

Now it's time to start drawing out their bodies which only consist of their clothes. For Fred he is wearing a tie, and Barney is not. Once the clothes or bodies are drawn out, you can move to step five. The bottom of their clothes should be jagged si

Okay, now you will be drawing out both of their arms like you see here. Fred is a much bigger character then Barney which means Fred will have more skin to draw. Once the arms are drawn, you can sketch in the rest of Fred's tie, and then draw out the

Now you are almost done. All you need to do now is draw out their legs and feet. They live in the Stone Age which means they do not wear any shoes. They are bear foot and loving it.

Some last minute touch ups here. First erase the lines and shapes that you drew in step one. Then draw in the toe nails, and ankles.

Here is what your two friends look like when you are all done drawing out the Flintstones. I hope you had as much fun as I did. Now you can go ahead and color them in.

Description: "Flintstones, meet the Flintstones, they’re the modern Stone Age family. From the town of Bedrock, they’re a page right out of history”. Yes, those are some of the lyrics from the once very popular children’s cartoon 'The Flintstones'. Today I am going to be showing you "how to draw The Flintstones", step by step but instead of including the entire Flintstone family, I thought it would be cool to just make a lesson of Fred and Barney since they are really the only two main characters that anybody really cares about. Wilma, Bette, Bam Bam, and Pebbles are just secondary or supporting characters. Fred and Barney are two of the most popular paired figures when it comes to buddy buddy roles. They are like Spongebob and Patrick, Phineas and Ferb, Mordecai and Rigby, Finn and Jake, Ren and Stimpy, and so on and so forth. This drawing really wasn’t that hard to do because both Fred and Barney are relatively easy characters to draw. You will have fun as you follow this lesson, and teach yourself "how to draw the Flintstones", step by step. Even if it’s just Barney and Fred, that’s good enough. I got to go now people because there is one more lesson that I will be uploading for the day. Check you guys out later, and enjoy the rest of your drawing day!
