Okay this first step is very simple. All you have to do is draw a long straight line for the blade of the Celtic sword, and then draw a total of three lines that will create the hilt of the sword. These are just guidelines and they are here to help d

In this next step you will be drawing out more of the sword's blade starting at the tip. You will make an arrow type of tip for the sword and then draw a long line that goes to the hilt but widens on its way up. Next draw the hand guard which is just

You will repeat the same step as you did in step 2 when you drew the top portion of the blade. This time after you are done draw a line that flows directly in the middle to give the sword definition and shape. Now you will draw out the hand guide and

In this step you will first erase all those guidelines that you drew in step one since you are not needing them anymore. Next you will detail the top of the celtic sword with jewels and diamonds and then detail the hilt with a sort of wrapping to it.

When you are done your Celtic sword should come out looking like the one you see above. And that's it you are done. That was really easy huh? I know. Well color your sword in and give her a real good Celtic name. That will end this tutorial on how to

Description: Howdy partners, welcome back to another fun filled tutorial on DragoArt.com. Today I thought I would do another tutorial on a sword again since the one I did yesterday got a positive response. I can usually tell what people like just by the amount of hits that a certain drawing or tutorial gets that day after it is submitted. As many of you know by now I am a big time fan of dragons, and because of that this next tutorial will be on how to draw a Celtic Sword. Before we learn some information on these beautiful bold looking swords, let’s talk about the warriors that use to carry them. The Celtic Warriors were very intimidating when it came time to fight, or even as they went about their business around small villages and towns. These men were very bulky, muscular, and usually tall. They were pale skinned, and their hair was as blond as can be. A typical warrior was equipped with a bronze helmet, chain mail shirts, and sometimes they wore a chest plate type of armor. But most of the time these brazen warriors fought with nothing but a sword, a shield, and the clothes on their backs. Now that you have a mental idea what these Celtic men looked like, let’s talk about their swords. The Celtics used both heavy long slashing swords, and light one handed shorter swords. Celtic swords had beautifully decorated hilts and were designed in amber, ivory or gold leaf. Celtic swords were typically made with iron, it wasn’t until when the Romans occupied England that the blacksmiths were trained to forge the swords with steel. This meant that not only were the Celtics lean mean fighting men; they also had more durable, stronger weapons to fight with. When steel was introduced, it was then the Celtic broadswords were made, like the Claymore swords. A typical Claymore could range anywhere between five to six feet in length, which is also the longest sword ever made. One famous Claymore that I’m sure you are all aware of is the Excalibur, the sword of King Arthur. Back in those days the Celtics use to name their swords as a symbolism of a life protector and keeper. All in all the Celtics forged beautiful swords that are still talked about and admired till this day. I know you will have fun learning how to draw a Celtic sword because these swords have so much history and magic behind them. The instructions are pretty simple to follow and easy to understand. I will be back with some more tutorials for all of my artistic friends that visit me here on DragoArt.com.
