How to Draw an Anime Male Centaur
Step 1. Start this first step by drawing out a circle for his head with the facial guidelines drawn in. Next draw an arrow head shaped torso for his torso and then the bottom part of his horse like body needs to be drawn out as well. After those basic shapes are drawn out you can then add the guidelines for the arms and legs along with the bow that will be in his left hand.
Step 2. As you can see this next step looks fairly easy because all you have to do is start sketching in the shape of his face and then his hair line in the front. After that add one eye and then begin shaping out his shoulders and right arm. You will then need to sketch in the beginning steps of his six pack and his chest muscles as you can see here. After that start working on the horse legs and hooves. Draw a line in his right hand for the arrow.
Step 3. The first thing you will do in this step is get his right arm drawn out along with his hand that is holding the bow. Next finish off the right arm and hand and be sure to sketch in those muscles on both arms. Now start shaping up his torso on the left hand side and then draw a line for the strap that goes across his chest for the pouch that holds the arrows. Now you will start detailing the horse like half of him by sketching in the shape of the stomach and the rest of the shape for the legs.
Step 4. As you can see by the time you are finished here you will have an almost completed image of a male centaur. The first thing you will do here is start sketching in his shoulder length straight hair in an anime way. Now give him a male anime face after you are done with the hair. Next draw out the bow and then detail his left hand by adding knuckles and nails. Some more muscle definition is in order as well spread out through his body. Finish his chest and give him a set a nipples. Put an arrow tip on his stick and then draw out the fluffy tail and the hooves.
Step 5. For this last step you will be detailing and defining the centaurs tale as well as his trusty bow. Complete the bow as well by adding the string and then detail the rest of the horse part of the body. Erase any or all visible lines and shapes that you drew in step one to clean up your sketch.
Step 6. This is what your finished male centaur should come out looking like. After you are done you can color him in and then add him to your sketch book collection. That is it people that will do it for this tutorial on how to draw a male centaur step by step.

Hello DragoArt members and visitors! Today we will go on an adventure of learning how to draw. This time we will be drawing an awesome male centaur. It took me some time to figure out how I wanted his body position to be. I kept messing up on the horse body part and the top part. So I tried so many attempts on making this centaur guy. I tried the side pose of it but that was too ordinary. I wanted him to be unique with a body pose unlike most common centaur pictures I see online. I tried to make this marvelous creature one of a kind as possible. I also made him in an anime manga style just so it would be even cooler. As you can see I am really addicted to adding blood in my images. I just can’t stop adding these effects on my mystical and magical creatures. Once you start painting blood on your images, you’ll find out that its obsessing XD. Anyways, the Centaur is supposed to be charging a pack of shadow wolves in front of him. Obviously you cannot see the wolves in front because I didn’t draw them there. He is supposed to be surrounded by tons of shadow wolves. As you can see in the image, there’s blood running down one of the wolf’s mouth and teeth. It is also grinning. To me it looks like one of that shadow Pokemon that Team Rocket has. So anyways, the image background was inspired by a video game I played yesterday. It’s called Command and Conquer Tiberium Wars: Kane’s Wrath. That game is wicked fun by the way XD. I L.O.V.E the SCRINNN!!! So on with my biography about the image. It took me about five hours to complete. The line art itself was really hard because I’m not so good at drawing the anatomy of a horse or man =P. I was lucky to even have a nice pose for the Centaur. So I realized I have to practice more on the anatomy of other things instead of dragons all the time. I mean in all my other four-hundred tutorials, I’m surprised that I have done them pretty good. Some of them I admit are crappy. But nevertheless, I drew this image in Photoshop CS3 and used my awesomely big 6x12 Intuos3 tablet. Ha-ha I just noticed I have two items/programs that have 3s in them…lol XD. Well I hope you enjoy this tutorial. I was a pleasure to write out this text about the journey I had drawing and coloring my Centaur. I guess this is peace out =3. Enjoy!!
