How to Draw Metro Man

Step 1.

So, here we are learning to "draw Metro Man". This tutorial took me a while so I'm going to distribute this helpful lesson for you guys. This character has a large torso and smaller lower body. It looks a little weird but muscular, which is what you want to make the perfect Metro Man character. I'd recommend drawing the guides with a light blue pencil so you'll know what to erase later.

Step 2.

Next, let's work on the frame for our Superhero. First, sketch out the frame for the head and the little poofed curled hair. Start working on his muscles and the large torso we discussed about earlier. Draw the body frame first before you move onto the arms and hands.

Step 3.

As you can see you will need to draw out the legs in more detail, and then add the belt. When that is done add the detailed lining on the superhero suit, and then draw a big 'M' on the front which as you know stands for Metro Man. Detail his hair, and sketch out the eyebrows, nose, and ear detailing. Lastly sketch in the fringe that is hanging from his forearms.

Step 4.

Finish sketching out the legs and boots and then draw out the cape. As you can see his boots have fringe as well hanging from the caps.

Step 5.

Draw out his face fully, and then add spots all over the front of his chest like you see here. Erase the lines and shapes that you drew in step one.

Step 6.

Metro Man to the rescue! Great work guys!

Alright friends, here with another lesson to present to you; this time on a character from the new movie ‘MegaMind’. I hear the movie bombed and it’s just like its counterpart, ‘Despicable Me’. Whether or not, I got a few more characters to submit other than Roxanne and Megamind himself. This character was referenced from images provided from Google, and the coloring took me FOREVER! I struggled with the shading and had to keep staring at the reference for all the right colors. I believe learning “how to draw Metro Man”, step by step, can be a little difficult, mainly because of the face expression and detailing. The drawing itself was boring to me as well as less fun than other lessons I completed last night. Oh another thing, I may not join and go live tonight because of the long ride I’m on with my parents. If any of you folks have seen the movie already, let me know how it was so I’ll be aware of it when my siblings go to the movies. Did you know the Dreamworks Company produced this movie and it’s distributed by Paramount pictures? The creators of Shrek didn’t make this movie (my parents think so xD). Well, I have to go now once again. I hope you folks have fun learning “how to draw Metro Man”, step by step. I’m glad to hear of the awesome feedback for the ‘chibi Jack Sparrow’. Thanks so much for viewing and have fun!
