Before we go further and jump onto the details, you'll want to create a standard foundation for your cute gryphon. Start by drawing a circle for the head and crisscrossed lines that will proportion the facial details. Once you've flown with that, wo

Next, before we work on the body, you'll want to frame the face. "Why", you might ask yourself. Well, most artists crash into problems when they tend to draw the eyes first and not the head. By drawing the frame of the face, you'll know exactly how t

Description: I'm back again with another very cool and cute lesson for the day! This was drawn partially during my Livestreaming yesterday night. Tonight, I will be doing another stream for all you folks who are eager learners! In this cute lesson, you'll be learning “how to draw a cute gryphon”, step by step. I know my last tutorial on a griffon was pretty cool, but this one will be cooler and cuter too! The colors was a last thought, since I'd like to try a new scheme other than using 'tan, dark tan, and light tan', similar to a lion. This tutorial should give you a decent idea on how a “cute gryphon” should be drawn. I provide simple steps that will bread down the essentials in a slick way. When you want to simplify a griffon, you'll want to narrow down to the key points of one. First and far most, a griffin has an eagle head, lion body, and eagle wings. A pretty neat combination if you ask me, and one of my favorite fantasy creatures. These are the things you would want to single out in order to create an easy drawing. Think of the different types of birds/cats that you can mesh together to create a really unique gryphon. What if you mixed a cougar with a falcon? I think that would be extremely epical! Anyways, I have to go now. Livestream broadcasting is a few hours away and I have to get some things in order before I go live. I hope you folks will enjoy this lesson as much as I did! “Drawing gryphons”, can be so much fun, and such a treat to indulge yourself with. Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great drawing experience!
