I love old movies. In fact I think that old movies are probably the best made in the history of movie making. Back then actors and directors took much more pride in their work and the films had meaning. There was always a hidden message behind the films that were made. Some of my favorite old films include; A Clockwork Orange by Stanley Kubrick, Midnight Cowboy with Dustin Hoffman and Jon Voit, then you have The Deer Hunter with Robert DeNiro, Space Odyssey, A Street Car Named Desire with the all time greatest actors of all time Marlon Brando, of course we can’t forget The Godfather I and II, I’m not to fond of part III. Anyways let me get back to this tutorial. I was talking about old movies because of the actress that I did a portrait on. I will be showing you all how to draw Marilyn Monroe who was the Beautiful blonde of movie history. Marilyn Monroe was not only an actress she was also a singer, model, at times a comedian, and a film producer as well believe it or not. She was born on June 1st in the year of 1926 and sadly died on August 5th 1962. Her real name wasn’t Marilyn Monroe at all, it was Norma Jeane Mortenson. Not only was she beautiful, she had a few husbands as well three to be exact and there names where James Dougherty which she was married to from 1942-1946, than came Joe DiMaggio from January 1954-October 1954 which was very short indeed. Lastly there was Arthur Miller who was her husband from 1956-1961. They got divorced almost one year before she died. One sad fact about Marilyn Monroe was that most of her childhood life was spent back and forth in foster homes which made it very hard for her to grow up as a normal child. She was not born a blonde but was a brunette, and she also posed for Playboy Magazine. There are several movies that Monroe stared in that have been marked with remembrance like The Seven Year Itch, All About Eve and the all time popular Niagara. She was a timeless beauty and she will always be an idol and hero to many woman that respect a heart felt actress that struggled from the gutter and became a natural star. In this awesome tutorial you will learn how to draw Marilyn Monroe step by step. The drawing software that I used for this tutorial is Adobe Photoshop. There are many drawing software products on the market today, its all about preference and skill level. Of course you can always look into learning how to draw with those different online drawing courses, that may be an option. You can even learn how to use a computer drawing tablet like I use. Anyways, I hope you liked this detailed tutorial and I will see you all soon again.
