Draw an egg shape for his head, and then add another shape for his torso like you see here. Add the guidelines for the face, torso, and hands.

2

Now you can start sketching out Rey Mysterio's mask like you see here. Don't forget to draw the shape of his full lips too, and the shape of his chin.

3

It's now time to start sketching out the designs all over his mask. This includes the cross, and all the trimmings. Don't forget to sketch in the eyes, and mouth.

Add some shading around the eyes like you see here. This will add depth and texture. Do the same thing on his mouth, and above the lips. This is very easy to do, all you have to keep in mind is that you are trying to lightly shade in these areas to a

Description: Okay guys, this tutorial that is going up right now has been requested over, and over, and over again. I have finally brought myself to sketching out this popular wrestler that many people know of and love. Today, I will finally teach you "how to draw Rey Mysterio", step by step. For all you wrestling fans that recognize Mr. Mysterio, you should have a blast with this tutorial. His real name is Oscar Gutierrez, and he was born on December 11, 1974. This means he is currently thirty five years old. Oscar is a Mexican American, and the one person that taught him all he knows was in fact his uncle Rey Misterio Sr. His stage name wasn’t always what it is today, but because it was his uncle that trained him, I guess Oscar wanted to be named after the one person that believed in him, and taught him everything he knows. It wasn’t until 1996 that Mysterio started wrestling for WCW. He made his first debut back in 1996, and he went against Dean Malenko to try and win the WCW Cruiserweight Championship. Even though everything I am telling you right now about Rey is based on hearsay from my brother, I have to say I do like his wrestling style. You see, I am a big fan of the movie “Nacho Libre”, and to me Mysterio looks a lot like Nacho, and he was a Mexican wrestler that the natives called Luchadores. These men in real life helped make the sport of wrestling popular in Mexico. Anyway, if you look at the main image you can see how realistic this champ looks. That’s because I use a painting tool that allows me to draw, and color in real life people to look, well realistic. The steps believe it or not are not even going to be that hard. All you have to do is slowly follow the steps, and read the instructions. Soon enough you will be on your way to drawing Rey Mysterio, step by step. Don’t forget, there is also other men that are his good friends that also hold his hand today. Anyway, I will shut up so you can get busy with this tutorial. I hope you wrestling fans have fun, and be sure to come back real soon.
