Let's get started shall we? Start with a head shape, and then draw the outline of the body. Next, draw the lines for the wings.

2

Next, begin sketching out the back part of the birds head, and make sure there is some kind of feather action going on. You will then draw the outline of the beak too.

3

Add a line in the beak, and then start sketching out the nicely drawn full looking wings. Take your time here, and be sure that you take your time so the wings come out real nice.

4

Draw the eyeball, and then color in a pupil. You will also draw out the lining for the birds wings, and then draw the lower end of the body including the tail. Lastly, add the one thigh.

5

All you have to do for your last drawing step, is draw both of the Macaw's feet and or toes. Add some nails, and then begin erasing all the guidelines and shapes you drew in step one.

6

When you are done, this is how your bird should come out looking. I think you just some some good fun when you learned how to draw a Macaw. Hey, that rhymes!

Description: Hi guys, how's it going on this grim Saturday evening? I know I'm feeling pretty sour because of the weather that we have going on which is thunderstorms, pouring rain, and lightning. At some point, we even had a tornado watch for the areas in, and around my county. Enough already with talking about grim nonsense, let's get back to talking about what's really important, drawing. I will start by uploading my fourth lesson for the day which is going to be on “how to draw a Macaw", step by step. This is a bird species that lives in the rain forests of Central and South America. They come in many different shades of vibrant colors ranging from red, blue, green, and other fascinating shades. The very distinctive aspect about these birds, is their big strong beaks. They use their beaks to break open a variety of nuts, and seeds, and they use their tongues to get into the juices of a variety of fruits. Did you know that a Macaw's tongue has an actual bone inside of it? It's true, this parrot species are equipped with scaly tongues that are dry, and very stiff. The bone inside of the membrane aids the Macaw when they want to get inside of some tasty fruits. They also have amazing feet because their toes are used to get a good grip on things like branches, and trees. They also use their feet to pick up items so they can analyze them. Now, I've already told you about their vibrant colors, the amazing things they can do with their beaks, tongues, and toes right? Well, another interesting thing about this bird, is their beautiful feathery long tails. There is good reason why Macaws pick up, and examine items. This is because they are very smart animals that love socializing, and come together in flocks. They also speak to one and other by omitting a very loud squawk, call, and even a scream. They make these horrendous noises to communicate with flocks, mark their territories, and to have some kind of identification system with each other. When night falls Macaws will sleep in trees, and they wake up the next day to go on long journeys in search of food. How many different types of species is their in the Macaw family? There is only seventeen species of Macaw, and out of that number, there is a handful that is on the endangered list. I drew this bird, and laid it out so that any artist of all levels, can tackle this tutorial with ease. Learning "how to draw a Macaw" is going to be good fun, and wicked cool to color in. You can mix and match your color pallet, because these birds are full of color. Adios amigos!
