So, without further ado, you will be learning how to draw E.T The Extra Terrestrial. First off, how many of you watched this movie in a theater? Well if you were like me and you did get to watch the flick at the movies than I think you will all agree with me that it was single handedly one of the most emotional films of all time. Here you have a lonely boy named Elliot who is about 9 or 10 years old that lives in a suburban California community with his mother Mary, big brother Michael, and little sister Gertie. Now the story goes like this; an alien space craft landed on earth and a bunch of aliens started exploring the woods including E.T collecting vegetation samples to study back on their home planet. Now, as they were frolicking threw the woods a bunch of U.S. government agents appear out of the blue and the harmless aliens are forced to rush back onto their space vessel. Because there was a rush of commotion and panic they left earth leaving one of their kinds behind. E.T was left to fend for himself and stay out of harms way, meaning keeping a low profile from those same agents that were there to take down his people in the first place. As innocent E.T wonders about a young boy named Elliot discovers the alien. As he walks over to get a closer look, E.T runs away, but that didn’t stop Elliot. He was determined to locate the alien creature by leaving a trail of Reese’s Pieces from the forest to his house. The trap did work and he took him in. Trying to conceal his new found friend, Elliot’s young sister Gertie finds him in the closet and starts to play dress up with him. Elliot soon finds out that his secret is out and now he has to find a way to get him back home to his own kind because E.T. starts showing signs of dying. The movie is an emotional story about a family that finds each other and makes a life long friendship with another being from outer space. E.T was the ugliest but cuties things of the 80’s and remains to be a part of many childhood lives. Little Elliot and Gertie went far in their careers as well Drew Barrymore who was Gertie leads a successful lifestyle and so does Henry Thomas who plays Elliot.
