Hi folks and welcome back to DragoArt. Today I thought of a couple of fun characters to draw and make tutorials of. So without further a do, today you will all learn how to draw American Dragon. I know most of you know who this character is and what channel to catch him on. I started watching American Dragon about 6 months ago and I gotta tell ya, it is awesome. I tend to lean toward cartoons that have a rebel in their character, and to me American Dragon does. Now, this animated cartoon series is wicked cool, but unfortunately all your likely to see aired now is repeat shows because they stopped making new shows last year. I catch American Dragon on the Disney channel around 1 or 2 in the morning. It’s a cool show though; you have Jake Long who is an Asian-American 13 year old boy trying to find balance in his life as a skateboarder on the streets of New York. The coolest part of the cartoon is when he becomes the dragon. It’s kind of funny too because he has a dragons body with a full head of black hair tinted with green tips, normal human eyes and eye brows and elf looking ears. If you think about it he sort of looks like Mushu from Mulan mixed with Jake Long. In any case I still think that the show tries to show kids good values and how to be an honest hard working citizen, (what ever that means). In today’s society, there are so many shows telling kids what they should and should not be like or what kind of clothes to wear and what words not to say. In America today, if you don’t have three or four jobs working like 60 hours a week you are looked down upon. That is a really sad situation because now day’s kids just can’t be kids. You have them being raised with influences coming from all different directions. So when I see a show that takes chances and says what ever they are trying to say while scrapping an open wound at the same time, I enjoy them fully. Shows like SpongeBob Squarepants, Dexter’s Lab, Fairly Odd Parents and so forth, make me laugh because they are real and exciting at the same time. There is this one part of a SpongeBob episode where Patrick and SpongeBob are trying to keep Sandy from leaving but can’t figure out a plane. All of a sudden out of the blue Patrick says something intelligent and SpongeBob replies “Patrick, your genius is showing” and Patrick says “Where?!” covering his private area (if you know what I’m talking about). Things like that is what I’m talking about, they seem like they are staying proper but yet they are still kinda raw. I love it! Any way here is another fun character that I am a fan of. I will show you how to draw American Dragon step by step. As always the instructions are easy to read and follow. After you are done you can sit back and relax and think about how you want to save the world.
