Very easy tutorial to follow and accomplish. Start with an egg shape for the body, and then draw the shape of the dorsal fin, and then the shape of the mouth. Next, add the lines for the fins, and the tail fin.

2

You will now start sketching out the shape of the goldfish's head which also happens to be it's body. Be sure to draw the mouth opening, and then draw the eye, and color in a pupil.

3

Finish sketching out the goldfish's body by drawing the tail fin as part of the body lining. Detail the fin to add texture, and then draw out the anal fin too.

4

Define the shape you drew for the dorsal fin and then add some detailing. Next draw a curved line for the gill opening, and then move to the next drawing step.

5

To finish drawing a goldfish all you have to do is sketch out the remaining fins, and then draw in some simple fish scale detailing. Once done, you can begin erasing all the lines and shapes that you drew in step one.

6

You are now done with this fish tutorial, and as you can see drawing a goldfish was as easy as 1, 2, 3,! Pick some unique colors to shade in your aquatic animal friend.

Description: Remember the lesson I did on a fish? And do you remember how I drew the most common fish around? Well, today I thought I would do another aquatic tutorial, and this time I will show you "how to draw a goldfish", step by step. This water creature is by far one of the most common domesticated pets around the world. Not only do people enjoy goldfish in their homes, they also enjoy this species in their backyard ponds. What you may not have known is, goldfish and koi fish are very close cousins. The only difference between the two is that the koi have barbels around their mouths, and goldfish do not. They are both members of the carp family, and both species come in a variety of colors and sizes. You would think that just because this animal's name starts with the word “gold”, that is the only color they come in right? Wrong. There is so many colors, sizes, and shapes to choose from and some of them you probably never even heard of before. The types of goldfish in existence are as follows: the common, cormet, fantail, shubunkin, ryukin, bubble-eyed, lionhead, ranchu, pearlscale, veil tail, black moor, and oranda goldfish. Every single specie of goldfish looks different from one another, and they all come in different sizes and shapes. To teach someone "how to draw a goldfish" is pretty simple especially when the steps and instructions are easy to follow and understand. I do hope you have fun, and I will be back later to draw live with you all. Peace out people, and happy swimming.
