Now because Zapdos is very "bursty" looking, it is going to be a relatively easy Pokemon to draw. Start with a circle for the head, and then draw the two edgy shaped wing outlines. Once that is done you can draw the shape of it's torso and then draw

You will now draw the spark like shaped head, and then draw out the shape of the spiky looking beak. As for this step, when you are done drawing these two parts, your done.

Now it's tome to draw the large zappy looking wings, and when you are done with that you can sketch out the edgy shape of it's eyes and then color in the eyes, and add a nostril hole.

Finish drawing out the body and then draw thighs and large feet.Once the thighs and feet are drawn out you can add the nails.

For your last drawing step all you have to do is draw out the sparky tail shape and then start erasing all the guidelines and shapes that you drew in step one to finish off the Pokemon character design.

Description: I'm going to show you how to draw a Pokemon that is said to be one of the three legendary birds of Kanto. Who is this bird yo will be getting a lesson on? You will learn "how to draw Zapdos", step by step. Zapdos is an electric/flying legendary Pokemon, and the other two that are of Kantos is Articuno and Moltres. It's body design is like batches of lightning shapes that when fused together, they form a bird. The head of Zapdos looks like a burst of energy, and the wings and tail are explosive too. From the lesson, it doesn't look very big, but in all reality this bird is quite large. Whenever Zapdos flaps it's wings, they release energy that causes thunderstorms. As with a lot of other Pokemon, it is a genderless species which means there isn't a male and female version. I always look forward to watching the series because you never know what episode is going to have a thunderstorm. You see, this legendary bird almost always appears when there is a storm happening. I really did have a lot of fun drawing Zapdos, and I do believe you guys will too. I have some other lessons on the way, but in the mean time try tackling this tutorial, and draw another addition to your Pokemon drawing book. Peace out and have a happy drawing day.
