You will now begin sketching out the shape of the orca's head and then draw the mouth which should be filled with top and bottom teeth. Next, sketch out the hint of a tongue, and then draw the first of the marking lines that starts from the corner of

Description: Some tropical lessons are fun to draw especially with spring and summer drawing near. This next tutorial was done out of a request, and I initially was going to place it in the tattoo section. What changed my mind was the fact that I really don't know, or see to many people looking for a design that is on a whale. Instead I will give you a lesson that will show you "how to draw a orca", step by step. The orca is also called Killer Whale, and has had this name for decades. What boggles my mind is the fact that this sea animal is not even a whale at all. Believe it or not but, the orca is actually a species of dolphin. That is both cool and weird right? One of the more famous whales to date is the one that stared in the hit family movie “Free Willy”. This design I drew is supposed to represent how this animal specie is looked at as a flaming creature from the sea that is equally both feared and loved. The florescent blue colors is to convey how graceful the orca is when happily in the ocean. The contrasting orange, red, and blue hues also gives this sketch a feel of tropical warmth, and how the sea brings in the warm breeze to shore. If you want a more realistic version of the killer whale, all you have to do is browse in the salt water section a bit more and you will find what your looking for. In the mean time, have fun learning "how to draw an orca", and when your finished with your sketch, color it in and dream of how much fun is yet to come when summer is here. Adios mi amigos!
