1

Draw a big circle shape for the outlined frame of the igloo. You will then draw the shape of the tunnel that is also the entry way.

2

All you have to do here is sketch out the exact shape of the igloo as you see here and then add some detailing and definition as well.

3

Lastly, draw the lining for the individual blocks that this ice or snow house is made out of. Once done, start erasing all the guidelines and shapes that you drew in step one.

4

Now that you're done you should have a finished sketch that looks like the one you see here. You can now sleep in your structurally sound drawing as you see here. Peace out guys!

Description: How about I submit a lesson on another structure, but this time it won't be made from any kind of wood we know of. In fact, this house is not made from any sort of material from trees whatsoever. I will be showing you “how to draw an Igloo, step by step”. This type of structure was created by the “Inuit” people, and in their native tongue, iglu means “house”. Another common name for these icy structures is snow-house, and this is because igloos are built entirely out of snow. The Inuit started building these house as a means for shelter when they went on hunting trips. The size of an igloo was built big enough to house the number of people that would be staying inside. Of course igloos where built to last longer then a few days, and they were also built to hold larger families. Igloos are dome shaped structures that have tunnels used for entry ways. The only tools needed to build an igloo is a snow spade, which is a shovel, and a saw. Inuits cut the shape and design on the hard surface to form a platform for this igloo. They will then use snow that is made from drifting winds to make a dome shaped house. The way these people work together to build such fascinating units is truly amazing. Families with women, and children, as young as two years old, would reside in these hand made snow homes, until it was time to return to the real world. All in all I think you guys will have a blast learning how to draw an igloo, step by step”. It's probably going to be one of the easiest, and funnest lessons to date. I have to go but I shall return. Peace out guys and try and stay warm on this awesome drawing day!
