Description: This is going to be a tutorial on an animal that I actually own. Today I will be showing you "how to draw a Python". These snakes are fantastic beautiful creatures and I have the pleasure to own one. I’ve had my two snakes for 9 years now and they have been through thick and thin with me. They survived a fire when my house burned down, they survived the freezing cold when they both escaped out of their cage and crawled out to the back yard, and they even survived rat attacks when plunging after their food. Ball pythons are solitary reptiles that don’t mind being handled by humans. They are also the smallest of the python species that originated from the African tropics. These reptiles thrive in humid temperatures ranging between 88 and 90 degrees, when captive ball pythons need to live in a terrain that has both of a warm side and a cool side. Pythons also need to have a good sized shallow water dish for soaking and drinking. Soaking in the water once a week helps the shedding process for all snakes. These reptiles must have some form of refuge in their habitat because they spend most of their time cramped up in a ball inside a dark hole. People use a variety of things to provide shelter for these types of snakes such as wooden logs, ceramic planting pots, or maybe even a dark plastic enclosure. These particular snakes can be housed alone or with other pythons with no problem. Albino ball pythons as well as all ball pythons can grow anywhere between 3 and 5 feet long depending on the type of care that is given to them. Females are usually bigger than males and they also have larger heads. Albino pythons are the same as ball pythons, the only difference between the two is the color. Albinos are born without the gene that allows dark pigments to form almost like a mutation. The lightest areas on an albino python is a whitish color and the markings are an orange gold color with yellow hues. They can also have pink eyes and they have pink tongues. This tutorial will show you "how to draw a ball python", step by step. I chose the pose with the mouth open because when my snakes get done eating, 5 minutes later they open their mouths extremely wide to click their jaws back into place. The step by step instructions will show you how easy it is to draw a python. I hope you enjoy this tutorial that was inspired by my own two pythons.
