Description: It is now time for a fun and cute tutorial on one of my favorite fictional characters who happens to be a monkey, Curious George. I know all of you know who this famous chimp is right? Well incase you don’t let me tell you something about the African chimp. George is part of a popular children’s book written by Hans Augusto Rey and Margret Rey. This cute little chimp was drawn and created by the writing duo back in 1941.The couple left Paris in 1940 along with their manuscript for Curious George, as it goes only one person of the duo was credited for the popular children’s book so that it would stand out from all other children’s books written by numerous female writers. Over time both of the Rey’s writers where credited for the book. Curious George is about a lovable and exceedingly curious little monkey that has been capturing the hearts and minds of readers throughout the world for 60 years now. All the Curious George books, including the seven original stories by Margret and Hans, have sold more than twenty-five million copies world wide. The complete series of the collection are as follows; Curious George 1941, Curious George Takes a Job 1947, Curious George Rides a Bike 1952, Curious George Gets a Medal 1957, Curious George Flies a Kite 1958, Curious George Learns the Alphabet 1963, and Curious George Goes to the Hospital published in 1966. Over many years this lovable monkey made its way into every home with his own telefilm that where edited by the Rey’s writers. The most recent series that is enjoyed now on PBS is “Curious George New Adventures”. The new adventures series has been illustrated in the same style of Margret and H.A. Rey by various artists. A lot of questions asked about this monkey is, “what kind of monkey is this monkey?” Well, he is a tailless chimp that has characteristics of humans in including intelligence. George is based on a juvenile chimpanzee, so all in all the answer to that question would be, he is a combination a few species of monkey. We all know how much he loves “The Man in the Yellow Hat” and how the Man in the Yellow hat loves George as well. He teaches him basic responsibilities and lessons on what’s right and what’s wrong. This tutorial will show you how to draw Curious George step by step. This online tutorial has easy to read instructions to help you draw this chimp with ease. So go have some fun with George.
