How to Draw a Baby Elephant

Okay, let's start this lesson on how to draw a baby elephant by drawing two large circles. The one for the head is a bit smaller than the one for the body. You will then draw facial guidelines and then draw the line for the trunk and ears.

Okay now you will use the facial guidelines to draw the big round shapes for the baby elephant eyes. Color them in as well leaving behind three uncolored shapes for the glare effect. Next draw two small bumps for the cheeks and then begin the drawing

Sketch out the head shape and then begin drawing out the baby elephant ears. Add some detailing inside of the ears and then draw a piece of hair on it's head. Finish the shape of the cute little trunk and then give this baby a smile.

Wow, you are already almost done as you can see. What you will need to do here is start drawing out the body shape. When that is done you can then draw the baby elephant's leg shapes and toes. Lastly draw the shape of the tail and make sure that it h

This is your last drawing step and all you will have to do is finish the shape of both legs and draw the toe nails and toes too. Erase all the guidelines and shapes that you drew in step one so that you can prepare your baby elephant for coloring.

Description: Well it looks like I have just gotten those two tough tutorial lessons out of the way. Now it is time for something a bit more easy and fun. If you look to the right in the “Top 50” column, you will see that the anime manga animals are doing extremely well. There is an animal that I have been meaning to draw and upload that I think will make an awesome addition to the anime animal collection. So, having said that let me say that you will be getting a lesson that will teach you “how to draw a baby elephant step by step”. The baby elephant that you will learn from is ultra cute and super simple. I have an idea for another baby character that I will be drawing today, so keep a look out for that lesson tomorrow. A member from DragoArt mentioned that the anime animals in the Top 50, would make really cute plushy toys. I was thinking about it and I totally agree. This baby elephant probably one of the cutest animals in existence. I think over the course of this month I will continue to draw different baby animals from time to time. In the mean time, why don’t you start this lesson that will teach you very easily “how to draw a baby elephant step by step”. Inspiration came from that lovable little guy from Disney who also happens to be a baby elephant and his name is Dumbo. Okay well that pretty much does it for me, I have been doing a lot of typing today and my fingers are going to fall off. But wait, I still have one more lesson to upload.
