how to draw shoes

How to Draw Shoes

Step 1.

Okay lets get started with this first step. All you have to do is draw out the boxy looking shapes for your shoe styles that you will be drawing. This type of tutorial is great because you can choose to draw just one or two styles and leave the rest, or you can draw all the styles you see here.

Step 2.

For the three pairs of shoes that you will be drawing start sketching out the front part of the sneaker which is the toe cap. Next draw the "upper" of the shoe which is the material that makes out the top part of the shoe. You will then start drawing out the border that will hold your "eyestays" and or lace holes. Once that is complete you can then draw the circles for the converse sneaker as well as the laces and upper sole line design. For the heeled show all you have to do is draw the shape and style of the design you are going for. Next draw out the shapes of the feet which include toes and all.

Step 3.

You will now draw out the actual shape of the bottom sole on both sneakers and then draw the backs of the shoe as well. For the Chuck Taylors you need to draw the molding for the eyestays and then draw a circle in the back of the shoe were the words "Converse" will go. Draw the straps on the ladies stiletto and then detail the back of the shoe too. Add an ankle on the barefoot and then draw the thongs for the flip-flop and some of the sole.

Step 4.

For your last drawing step all you have to do is erase all the guidelines and shapes that you drew in step one. Next draw the eyestays or lace holes and then draw the lining for the "heel counter".

Step 5.

When you are done your sketch of all the shoes you just drew, it should come out looking like this, or one of the designs you chose here. I hope you liked this lesson on "how to draw shoes step by step".

I am back again guys with that lesson I told you I was doing, “how to draw shoes step by step“. Shoes is probably one of my favorite things to go shopping for. And I’m not talking like that nutty shopping that some people do, buying twenty pairs of shoes every two days, or something like that. When I go out to buy a pair of shoes I like to first look at the new styles that had just came out the week before. Next, I will browse through the boys and girls section. And the reason I do this is because, sometimes there is a boy’s shoe that is screaming cool. When this happens, there is no way that you are finding that shoe in a female style. What I will do then if I came to that particular situation is, find my size, try it on, look in the mirror, box them back up and scroll down to the girls section with the other shoes under my right arm. I will continue to walk around the female isle until something pops out and catches my eye. If a shoe should say something to me, I will find my size and try I on. What usually happens during moments like that is, the shoe will look horrible on my foot. In that case I will take the shoe off, put them neatly back in the box, put my shoes back on, stand up, and put the other shoes back in their little 1x1 hole that they came from, and say no thank you. The more popular brands like Nike, Reebok, Adidas, Sketchers, New Balance, Avia, and Saucony, are also very good shoes to choose styles and colors from. Of course this whole time I am talking about sneakers. I don’t wear any other kind of shoe. Now for you girly girls out there that love all kinds of shoes this tutorial is also for you because I will be showing you how to draw flip-flops as well, and a pair of stilettos. This shoe tutorial is for everyone. The main sneaker reminds me of what my brother wears, which is Vans. The second sneaker is one of my sisters favorites, the Converse Chuck Taylor sneaker that has been in style since the forties. And then of course there is the flip-flop, and high heeled shoe or stiletto. Of course a tutorial on shoes wouldn’t be quite right if their was no foot to put them on. I also will show you how to draw a foot so that you can familiarize yourself with that piece of human anatomy. Anyways, that is all I really have to say about shoes. I do hope you enjoy this tutorial on “how to draw shoes step by step”. I had fun with it, and I know you will too. Peace out my peeps!
