Description: Now that I got my share of G.I. Joe characters uploaded I will now be submitting a lesson on Spock's best friend Kirk. This is actually an old lesson that I found out of nowhere in my art folder on my computer. I was actually happy that I found this lesson because now I don’t have to draw it. I received a request for me to draw captain Kirk but for some odd reason I forgot all about the sketch I had drawn. If you are a big Star Trek fan you will already know the 411 on this space captain. Kirk was a legend in the Starfleet world. He began his popularity by becoming the youngest captain in Starfleet history at the ripe age of thirty four. Not only that but, he was also the first captain to bring back his ship (The Starship Enterprise) back in one whole piece after a five year space run. James T. Kirk also has a reputation for breaking regulations on seventeen different occasions and still have a career record under his belt. Kirk comes from a strong background in which his ancestors pioneered the American Frontier. He has strong roots that makes him one of the closest to American history as well. An interesting thing about what James went through when he was a kid may surprise some of you fans that may or may not know this bit of information. When Kirk was just thirteen years old, he witnessed the deaths of over four thousand people when the governor of Tarsus IV killed all those people so that the left over food could be rationed through out the colony. You see, “Kodos the Executioner” killed those people because there was a fungus outbreak that killed almost all the food supply on Tarsus IV. He earned the horrible name because of his unfathomable decision that he made when he killed those people. Can you imagine what young James was going through back then? Wow. Anyways as you know by the shows episodes, Captain Kirk was a very romantic guy and the ladies started thinking of him as a “ladies man”. He could never hold a long lasting relationship with any of the woman he got involved with because he was really devoted to his Starfleet career. He did however at some point conceive a son with Dr. Carol Marcus and they named their son David that later died by the hand of Klingons. When Kirk finally assembled his own Starfleet he would bond with all the members of the Starship Enterprise that would soon make them famous as well. His crew consisted of First officer and Science officer Spock, Dr. Leonard McCoy, engineer Montgomery Scott, Hikaru Sulu, Pavel Chekov, and Uhura. There is so much more information about James T. Kirk, but unfortunately I have more work to do. I want to leave you with this memorable sketch of this Starship captain that will be remember for all time. Enjoy this lesson on “how to draw Captain James T. Kirk” from Star Trek step by step. I have to go now but I will return later on. Have fun guys and remember you are doing a lesson on an acting legend that brought the series to life, William Shatner. Peace peeps!
