How to Draw a Buzzard

1

First, let's start with the guidelines, basic circles and lines to establish form.

2

Then, let's draw the head and brow as well as the beginning stages of the beak.

3

I've broken down the steps for drawing the head in 2 easy ways.

4

Then, let's start drawing the wing and the chest as well. Use light thin strokes for feather detailing.

5

The, draw the left wing as well as the feathers, keeping your outside lines thick and the inner feathering nice and thin.

6

Then, let's draw the rest of the wing as well as the tail feathers.

7

Let's draw the left foot for the buzzard. You always draw the overlapping foot first.

8

Then draw the right foot. Try to keep the toes close and bunched together to form a sort of perspective.

9

Using thin lines, go ahead and draw the scales on the legs and toes.

10

Lastly, finish by drawing the tree that this bird is preying from.

11

Once you are satisfied with your sketch, it should look something like this. I hope you guys enjoyed this tutorial, there will be more likes these on the way!
