How to Draw a Red-Tailed Black Cockatoo

1

Let's first begin with the guidelines to build the shape of the bird.

2

Then, let's draw the upper beak.

3

Then draw the lower beak.

4

Here, I've condensed all the steps building the eye structure for the bird. Look how easy!

5

Next, draw the neck and head shape.

6

Then, being loose with your strokes, draw the Mohawk part which is also black like the majority of the bird.

7

Let's then draw the wing that makes up practically the entire body.

8

Then, draw the feet and branch.

9

Lastly, draw the tail!

10

Once you're satisfied with your sketch, you should have it looking similar to this. Go ahead and ink your drawing out with whatever you wish to make the piece much bolder and ready for color!

This tutorial should be very simple for all of you who are just novice artists, besides, I wanted my Red-tailed black Cockatoo too have some character while still remaining easy to draw!
