How to Draw Miguel Rivera from Coco, Coco

1

Start off with a circle for the head guide and then draw the guide shape for the torso. Sketch in the facial guidelines and then move to step two.

2

We will now begin sketching out Miguel's hairstyle which will also form the head shape. Be sure to draw the bangs in a whimsical manner.

3

Define the shape of Miguel's face using the guides you made in step one, then draw out the shapes of Miguel's ears. Draw in his nose, and simple smirk.

4

We will now draw in Miguel's eyes. They are also playful and very expressive even in simple form. Once the eyes are drawn out, you can then draw in the shape of his neck, and then the shoulders, jacket collar and a bit of wrinkling on the left sleeve

5

Continue to draw the arms as they are folded onto each other. You will need to draw the under shirt and hands.

6

Lastly, draw in the rest of his jacket and add some wrinkling to the coat and shirt underneath. Erase the mistakes and all the guides too.

7

Here is the finished drawing when you are all done. Now all that needs to be done is adding some color to bring Miguel to life.

Description: Hey people, welcome back to another one of my lessons and today I have something special that I want to show you. I watched this commercial yesterday on a new Disney Pixar animation that actually looks pretty awesome. It's called Coco, and it looks so sweet and adorable. So, having said that here is my tutorial on how to draw Miguel Rivera from Coco, step by step. Miguel is the main character of the movie along with all his skeletal friends such as Hector, Dante and the rest of the Rivera family. I'm actually really excited to see this film, and even though Miguel is not a character that I would draw normally, I think he came out pretty sweet. Anyways, have fun folks and look for more tuts made by ME.
