How to Draw a Spooky Cartoon Cat

Step 1.

Are you ready to start? Good because it is now time to begin. First, make two circles. One for the head and the other for the body. Sketch in the facial guidelines and then draw the guideline for the curled tail.

Step 2.

Using the head guide begin drawing or sketching out the shape of the spooky cat's face. Start with the ears and then continue to the head and cheeks.

Step 3.

Add detailing to the ears and when that is done we can sketch out the face. Start with the eyes and within the eyes draw a spiral of lines. Add the wide spooky smile and be sure to expose the teeth. Sketch in the small nose along with the whiskers.

Step 4.

Okay, let's proceed on by drawing the shape of the neck and then sketch out the front legs and paws. Add some hair down the sides of the body and you can then move to the next step when you feel like you've completed the task.

Step 5.

Sketch out the thighs and back legs. They need to be sketched out so that there is loose, coarse style fur. Draw the feet too as well as the toes.

Step 6.

For the last drawing step all you have to do is draw the long semi bushy tail. It should also look stringy. Erase the mistakes and all the guides.

Step 7.

You're done folks. Color in your cat or spooky cat I should say and be sure to create a background that goes along good with it.

Well, it's time that we sit and tackle one of my favorite creepy lessons yet. When I was making this concept all I was thinking about was Alice in Wonderland mixed with Dr. Seuss. I know the finish concept art doesn't seem nearly as neat as something from the creatures of both characters, at least I tried to come up with a close version of an idea that is bright, creative and also spooky. So, here is how to draw a Spooky cartoon cat, step by step. You have no idea how fun this cat was to draw. There was an element of cartoon or comic book quality I wanted this kitty to have, but I also wanted to make sure the cartoon black cat came out neat and exciting or appealing to the eye. I know for a fact that many will fall in love with this spooky cartoon cat, and that makes me happy. Anyways, I have to bounce on out of here so I can ready my next submissions. As you wait, have fun with this spooky dark tut. Adios amigos.
