How to Draw a Persian Cat

Step 1.

Start off with two guide shapes. One small circle for the head and one large bell shape for the body.

Step 2.

You will begin drawing the Persian cat's head. The lining has four peaks and these are for the fluff of the cat. The two at the ends are the ears.

Step 3.

Slowly draw in the fluffy coat along the sides of the cat's body and then flow down to the bottom. Draw in the expressive eyes using the facial guidelines and then draw in the mouth, nose, eyebrows, and whiskers that are scattered around the cat's face. Don't forget the indent under the mouth.

Step 4.

Finish everything up by drawing the rest of the Persian cat's body. This is a very girthy structured cat so be sure the legs and body are pretty chunky. The tail should be thick and puffy as well with layers of fur. Add the last set of whiskers and you are ready to erase the mistakes and guides.

Step 5.

When you are done you should end up with a drawing that looks like the one you see here. Color in your Persian cat any shade you like.

In this next tutorial we will be embarking on a task that is all about the beautiful Persian. Some of you may remember a popular Persian called Snowbell from the movie Stuart Little. I have always loved this cat breed and I honestly don't know why I never did a lesson on the Persian cat before. Having said that, this tutorial is going to show you how to draw a Persian cat, step by step. Of all the cats I have made lessons on, this is by far my favorite one. Not one of my favorites, just my favorite. I love how I drew this cat, the very look of it screams meow. I hope you love drawing this Persian kitty as well. I have a lot more lessons coming your way so be sure to stay tuned in. For now have fun drawing cats, or this Persian cat in particular.
