Drawing a canine paw

Sketch out a rough leg shape. It doesn't need to be neat since this is just a guide.

Go over the leg part of the base using jagged lines to create the look of fur.

Now go over where you drew the base for the toes, except this time, draw each one with a rounded shape and try to make them nice and compact.

Add in a line in between the first and second toes, closest to you. In addition, draw in a small curved line to represent the ankle.

You can now draw in some claws and pads.

Now it's time for the fun part! Block the paw in with whatever colour you choose. Then colour in the pads with a slightly darker colour.

Next, get the dark colour you used for the pads (or even black) and LIGHTLY shade down the right hand side of the leg. Don't forget to shade the toes as well. Tip: Always keep in mind which direction the light is coming from, when shading/highlightin

This part is technically optional, so it's up to you if you want to include this. Using the same dark colour, lightly shade a circular area underneath the paw for a shadow effect. You can also use white to add some small highlights on the claws for a
