Drawing a Wolf Dreamcatcher

Step 1.

Begin the first step by drawing the head guide and then the guidelines for your wolf's snout and neck.

Step 2.

Up next, begin drawing the snout which should be straight lined. The forehead should be drawn in next and then the tip of the wolf's nose.

Step 3.

Continue to work on the wolf's mouth by drawing the chin and lining for the lips inside the mouth. When that is done you can draw the semi closed eye.

Step 4.

Here you will draw in the ear which shouldn't be too long. Wolf's have nice thick ear leather. Sketch in the fluff of the wolf's coat around the neck and back. This will help form the shape of the neck as well.

Step 5.

You can now draw the feathers which are attached to the clipped strings. Add the beads and then you can add detailing to the feathers as well.

Step 6.

The wolf is pretty much all done. All you have to do now is draw the ring of the Dreamcatcher around the neck and head of the wolf.

Step 7.

Lastly, sketch in the detailing or definition to your wolf. This consists of the whiskers, marking line of the two toned color and then when that is complete you can draw the Dreamcatcher feathers, beads and leather strings. Erase the mistakes when you are done.

Step 8.

Here is the line art. Now just color in your Native American style wolf Dreamcatcher.

Hey guys, welcome back to another tutorial addition on this rainy Thursday afternoon. Today I have something fun and exciting for you all. We will be drawing a wolf Dreamcatcher, step by step. I really love the way this concept and design came out. To me, it's absolutely beautiful and remarkably easy to draw. The head of a wolf with feather clips are in the fur as it is coming out from the center of the Dreamcatcher. The beads, leather strings and feathers all incorporated helps make this an authentic looking Native American piece. If you want to add more color with your artwork, you can go ahead and choose a pallet that you like best. I like to keep my colors subtle when being used on a piece of art that means something to me. Anyways, have fun and I will be back soon with more tuts for you all.
