1

Make a simple circle and then draw a guide inside the shape.

2

We will draw the print like shape first and then the line that slopes down the side.

3

Add the edge of the rose petal and then draw the bulb like shape to make a bud.

4

We will now draw the edges of the other two petals like so.

5

We will finish the rose by drawing the remaining petals which will form the classic rose look. Add the dimpling to the middle of the petals and you are done here.

6

Finally, draw in the leaves and make sure the leaves have serrated edges. Detail the centers and you can erase the mistakes and guides.

7

Here is your line art. You can use any shade to color in the rose before showing off your work.

Description: Okay guys, I have another flower lesson for you and like almost always it is on a rose. So, up next we will be learning how to draw a classic rose, step by step. The coloring for this rose is done to celebrate Day of the Dead even if it is not until next year. Classic roses are just a simple rose with the classic look. Of course you don't have to color in your rose using the shades I did here, you can always use your typical red color if you want to keep it really classic. Anyways enjoy and when it comes to drawing roses do it simply.
