Vintage Tattoo Drawing

Step 1.

Make the guide for the face/head and then draw the guide shapes for the roses. Sketch in the facial guidelines too.

Step 2.

We will now begin to draw in the lining to the face formation which is on an angle. Then draw the shape of the nose and eyebrow.

Step 3.

Here you will draw in the other eyebrow and then draw the girl's closed eyes. As you can see the eyes are wide and the lashes are long.

Step 4.

We will now draw in the mouth which are the closed lips. Once that is done you can draw the hairline as well or at least some of it.

Step 5.

We will now draw in the head shape which is also the hairstyle. Her ear is peeking through the side as the hair is folded behind the ear.

Step 6.

Up next, we will work on the first rose. It should be multi layered and large. The center should also be detailed. Take your time as you draw in the rose.

Step 7.

Draw in the other two roses which rest nicely on the sides of the largest rose. When that is done you can draw in the leaves that are around the roses. Detail the leaves and you are done.

Step 8.

Lastly, draw the length of the hair and then draw the last rose which is not fully visible. Add last minute detailing and then erase your mistakes and guides.

Step 9.

That's it, you are all done. Just add some color to your drawing and show it off.

Here is a sad drawing that I made a few days ago, but I'm just getting around to uploading it today. The holidays have really put me on the back burner because of the fact that I had to deal with family and friends and the whole meet and greet with people I've never meet before. So today I thought I would get around to showing you how to draw a vintage tattoo. This is a really nice concept to get inked on your skin. The face says a lot without saying anything at all. One of the things I really love about this drawing are the roses. They have such nice angles and lines which makes the roses really fun to draw. Anyways, I do hope you like this lesson on drawing a vintage tattoo. I shall return so stick around.
