Drawing a Pirate Skull

1

Make a round shape and then sketch in the facial guideline.

2

You will now draw in the shapes or structure of the brow and cheek bones like so, you will also add detailing to the brow and cheeks.

3

You will now form the eyes in better detail and form, then draw in the nasal cavity, add detailing around the eyes and under the nose.

4

Up next, draw in the top row of teeth, add the arches to create the skeletal gum line and then proceed to step five.

5

Draw the bottom jaw or mandible in a very square jaw manner. Add definition to the jaw and then draw in the bottom row of gnarly teeth.

6

Draw the back part of the head and then draw in the bandanna. Add detailing to the bandanna and then draw the ruby inside the eye.

7

Finish the shape for the skull's head and then draw that flaring smoke in the back part of the head like so.

8

For the last step, all you have to do is draw the ghostly scarf, color in some holes near the tail end of the scarf and then erase the mistakes and guides.

9

At last, here is the drawing when you are done. Now all you have to do is color in the skull and all it's accessories. Thanks a lot folks.

Description: Here is a simple but cool concept of another skull idea that I made the other day. The concept I have for you here, is a pirate/bandit skull with a bandanna and scarf. There is also a ruby in the skull's eye socket as well to showcase the thief in the pirate or bandit. The green glow in the background is supposed to represent decay. I was going to color in a couple teeth gold to give the drawing that extra bit of detail, but I decided to leave it out at the last minute. Anyways, I do hope you enjoy this lesson. I will be back with more tuts for you all as there are many of them.
