How to Draw a Quill, Quill Pen

Make a long, curved line like so.

You will then draw the rough looking feather shape which has the edges looking uneven and old.

Draw the stem of the quill and then the ink trail made by the pen.

Lastly, draw in the definition and detail to the center of the quill or feather, then erase the mistakes and guides.

That's it. Color in the quill and add an ink well if you like.

Description: I'm down to my last three tuts and that's including the one you see here. I actually saved the ending two for last because they are pretty cool. So, up next we will be drawing a Quill in the form of a quill pen. Back in the day people used to use quills or feathers to do their writing. Of course you would also need to have an ink well to dip your quill into, but making an ink well isn't too hard to do if you wanted to include that in this drawing concept. Drawing feathers is always fun, but this one is pretty and simple.
