How to Draw Chibi Merida

Step 1.

Make a circle for the head and then draw out the body guide. Also sketch in the facial guidelines.

Step 2.

Define the shape of Merida's face and then draw in all the crinkled curls that will make up her hairstyle.

Step 3.

Use the facial guidelines to draw out the very big eyes and color in the pupils. Draw some of the ears and hair as well.

Step 4.

Start the formation of her dress and arms. Once that is done draw the puffs on the sleeves and some her hands.

Step 5.

Draw in the length of Merida's gown and then draw the pleats.

Step 6.

Add the cape and then draw the bow that she has strapped to her back.

Step 7.

Add the trim design at the end of the dress, then proceed to step eight.

Step 8.

For the last drawing step all you have to do is draw in the rest of her hairstyle which is long, curly and full of body. Erase the mistakes and all the guides.

Step 9.

Here is the line art. Now you can add some good color to the drawing of chibi Merida.

Since I never did it in the past, here is a tut on how to draw chibi Merida, step by step. I still can't believe I never did a chibi version of Merida, I could have sworn that I did, but guess not. This description is going to be short and sweet so you can go ahead and tackle the tut. I will be back with six more tuts so stick around.
