Drawing Rotten Fruit

Draw the shape of an apple for the outside of the apple and then draw a core shape which is for the inside of the apple.

Define the shape of your apple like so, and proceed to step three.

Add the apple stem and then draw in a dimple at the top of the apple.

So now you will begin drawing the impressions all over the apple which are the rotted spots. Also draw the indents for the bruises.

Lastly, draw in the fetus looking figure inside the core of the apple. Again, this drawing concept has a message that can be defined by what you perceive.

This is the line art once you have erased the mistakes and guides. That's all there is to it. Now just color in the art before you show it off.

Description: So this art piece has received a lot of likes on my Facebook page and I can sort of see why. This lesson is going to be on drawing rotting fruit, step by step. I know that there is a subliminal message there, it's actually up to you to figure out what that is. For me it means that as we age, our innocence is depleted to limits where there is no recovery of. We all start out young and beautiful and stay that way in our core, but the exterior of ourselves rot like a fresh ripe fruit. I do hope you enjoy this tut, don't forget to tell me what you think you get out of this visual concept.
