green skull, how to draw

Green Skull, How to Draw

Step 1.

Let's begin with the head guide and the guide for the jaw. Sketch in the facial guidelines, than you can move to step two.

Step 2.

We will work on forming the skull's thick bony cheeks as well as the top portion of the mouth. Add detailing to the cheeks and then draw a piece of the back part of the skull's head.

Step 3.

We will now draw in the fisherman hat which is bell shaped and seems to take over the whole head. The hat is supposed to look bigger than the skull's head.

Step 4.

Up next, draw in the large shapes for the skull's eye hollows and then draw in the shape of the nose and all the top teeth should be formed as well. End this step by making a band on the fishing hat.

Step 5.

For the last drawing step all you have to do is draw in the long, crooked jaw bone structure and then draw in the bottom teeth which are also crooked and don't line up with the top row. Add detailing to the jaw and you are done here. Erase all your mistakes and guides.

Step 6.

Your line art is done. Now just color in your skull any shade you like.

Yesterday I was watching 'The Wizard of Oz', the old one with Judy Garland as Dorthy. Anyways, there was a couple of times where the color green was always making it's way to the screen and it was a color that I really liked. So today, I will be showing you how to draw a green skull inspired by The Wizard of Oz. Of course this skull looks a little like the Wicked Witch and her flying monkeys as well as the green colored floating Wizard head that Dorthy and the gang talked to once they got to Emerald City. Yes, the green I used to color in this skull concept is Emerald Green and I think it goes so well with the concept idea. Drawing skulls has always been a favorite of mine and the more I practice the art of drawing skulls, the better I become. Have fun and let me know what you think of this concept.
